Mr. John E. Paiva, a resident of Andover, formerly of North Andover, passed away at his home on Wednesday morning, November 21, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was 81 years old
Born in Greenwood on June 27, 1937, he was the beloved son of the late George and Madaleine Jobes Paiva. Mr. Paiva was the proprietor of Taylor Rental in Tewksbury and Andover for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing from his camp in North Stratford, New Hampshire as well as an avid Boston sports fan. He also was very mechanically inclined and could fix or build anything. He will be dearly missed.
John is survived by his former wife; Virginia M. (Feeney) Paiva, loving children; Janis M. and her husband James B. Messenger of Seymour, Connecticut, Jo-Ann Tiberio of Wellington, Florida, Jay M. and his wife Pam J. Paiva of Salem, New Hampshire, sister; Madaleine Williams of Greenwood, MA grandchildren; Melissa, Matthew, Jeff, Stephanie and her husband Jason, Ashley, James, Nicole, Jami-Lee, Brandon and great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Braden, Julianna ,Kayla and Noella many nieces and nephews and his dog, Bullet. John was also the brother of the late Joe, George, Herb and Bob Paiva.
His funeral service will be celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at 4 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home, prior to the service, from 2 to 4 PM. Interment will be privately held.
