NEW BEDFORD…Richard A. Messier, 90, of New Bedford passed away November 13, 2018 at Bedford Village Nursing Home.
Born in Pawtucket, RI, he was a son of the late Edgard and Emma Messier and had lived most of his life in the Fall River area.
Mr. Messier was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He had worked for the Department of Public Works for the City of Fall River for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed sports.
Survivors include his former wife: Ann (Trotman) Messier of Trinidad and Tobago; a daughter: Patricia Peletier; several nephews. He was the brother of the late Marcell Messier and Yvette Messier.
Burial to which relatives and friends are invited ill be held Friday, November 23, 2018 at 10:45 AM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave. Bourne, MA.
