John F. Connolly, Jr., 72, of Milford passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 19, 2018 at his home.
Born in Quincy on August 21, 1946, he was the son of the late John F. and Madeline (Donlan) Connolly.
Mr. Connolly grew up in Dorchester and resided in Medway for many years until moving to Milford 22 years ago. He graduated from Thompson Academy in Boston where he played football and then attended Northeastern University.
Before his retirement, Mr. Connolly worked as a forklift operator and warehouse manager at BJ’s in Franklin for 12 years and previously at Sweet Life in Northborough for many years.
Mr. Connolly was an avid Boston sports fan and was also a coin and sports card collector.
He is survived by his former wife, Cynthia Connolly, and their three sons, Jeffrey Connolly and his wife Lauren of Boston, Scott Connolly and his wife Amy of Medway and Matthew Connolly of Boston and four grandchildren, Jack, Kate, Ronan and Bridget Connolly.
Funeral services are private at the request of his family.
