SIDNEY- Roger Wayne Sanborn II, age 38, passed away on Nov. 17, 2018 at Maine Medical Center after a short illness.
He was born in Lewiston on May 31, 1980, a son of Roger and Brenda (Hubbard) Sanborn who reside in Sidney.
Roger is a 1998 graduate of Kennett High School in Conway.
He will always be remembered for the interest he had in politics at the local, State and National levels. He also enjoyed snowboarding, watching MSNBC, hiking, swimming, cars, campfires, cribbage and
geocaching.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandmother- Roberta Murch; an aunt Peggy and her daughter
Noble; and his paternal grandfather- Myron Sanborn Sr.
Roger is survived by his parents; sister- Marlie Sanborn of Sidney; maternal step grandfather- Edwin Murch; maternal grandfather- Harry Hubbard; paternal grandmother- Alice Sanborn; aunts- Heidi,
Joanne and Gail; uncles- Donald, Eric, Myron, Kevin, and Gerald; his Boxer dog- Jersey; and many dear friends, aunts,
uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service to celebrate Roger’s life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 1 PM at the Poitras, Neal and York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. Online condolence messages can be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com
