New Bedford – Tobias Vieira, age 93, of New Bedford passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Care One New Bedford. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary “Emma” (Cordeiro) Vieira and the late Maria O. Vieira and also the son of the late Jacinto and Irmelinda (Sousa) Vieira.
Tobias was born in St. Michael, Azores and moved to the U.S. in 1965 where he worked as a machine operator for AFC Cable Systems. He was also a member of the Local 59 Teamsters Union.
He is survived by his children, Aldina Bianco of Acushnet, Mario Vieira of New Bedford and Paul Vieira of Acushnet; grandchildren, David and Eric Bianco, Shawn, Tammy, Phillip and Melissa Vieira and Joshua Emmett; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Kayla Bianco, Anthony Ferreira, Jaran Vieira, Alex and Theo Vieira.
At the request of the family, his visiting hours and funeral services will be private.
