Maureen A. (Riley) Farris, of Charlestown and a former 20 year resident of Somerville, entered into eternal life on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the North End Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was 54 years of age.
Maureen was born in Boston on August 22, 1964, a daughter of the late Andrew Riley and Emily (Reidy) Riley. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Maureen was a homemaker throughout her life, taking care of her beloved family.
Maureen is the beloved wife of 35 years to James "Porky" Farris. She is the devoted mother of Ryan Farris, Patrik Farris, Scotty King and his wife Michelle, and Patrick (O'Rouke) Farris. She is the loving Mama Bear to Alyssa Ryan Farris, Scott King, Kevin King, and Seamus King. She is the beloved sister of Kathleen Riley, Joseph Riley and his wife Maria, Andrew Riley and his wife Susan, Kenneth Riley and his wife Amy, Emily Riley, and the late John Riley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Maureen's Funeral Service on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at 10 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Tuesday November 20, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
