Geanacopulos, Olga (Kolokouris) of Newton, MA passed away peacefully on November 17, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late George Geanacopulos, mother of daughter Emily Coughlin, son-in-law Joseph Coughlin, granddaughters Mary and Catherine Coughlin and sisters Athena Antonis of Owings Mills, Maryland and Eugenia Maravelis of Baltimore, Maryland.
She was born in Vlahioti Lakonia, Greece and survived WWII, Greek famine and civil war before immigrating to the United States in 1955. She was a long time resident of Newton Center and well known to her family and her Greek and local community as a strong, kind, gentle and loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 20 from 10 am - 11 am at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 57 Brown Street, Weston, Massachusetts 02493. The funeral service will follow visiting hours, beginning at 11 am. Interment at Newton Cemetery.
