WORCESTER-Roy F. Broman, Sr., 76, of 6 Tennyson Street, died Sunday, June 23rd, in UMass Memorial Healthcare-Memorial Campus after an illness. He leaves his wife of 53 years, Theresa E. (Robidoux) Broman; 2 sons, Roy F. Broman, Jr. of Sutton and Paul G. Broman of Sturbridge; 2 daughters, Diane T. Cook and Kathy E. Yeulenski both of Worcester; a sister, Doris Lussier of Auburn; 9 grandchildren; a great grandson; many nephews and nieces. 2 brothers, George and Norman Broman and 2 sisters, Ethel Lechinsky and Bernice Lacross predeceased him.
He was born in Auburn son of Ragnard F. and Celia (Prefontaine) Broman. He was a Navy veteran of World War II serving as a harbor defense sonarman, 3rd class. Mr. Broman worked as an electrician for Carleton Woolen Mills for 44 years and as an electrician for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority for 5 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed woodworking and gardening and was an avid reader.
The funeral will be Wednesday, June 26th in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday, June 25th, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
