Edna M. (Ross) Burr, age 80, of Brockton, died November 15, 2018 at her home, following a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Donald Burr. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late James W. Ross, Jr. and Methyl L. (Haskell) Rapoza. Edna was a 1956 graduate of Brockton High School. She began her career with JP Noonan Transportation, Inc., West Bridgewater in 1971 and continued to work for them for 47 years. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Country and Western music and Elvis Presley.
Edna was the sister of Beverly J. (Rapoza) Gento and her husband Ronald of Palm Bay, FL, Charles M. Rapoza and his wife Kimberly of Brockton, Thomas R. Rapoza of Brockton, Patricia M. (Rapoza) Williams and her husband Thomas of East Falmouth and the late Methyl L. (Ross) Cardoza, Sheila A. Byron and John F. Rapoza. She is also survived by her brother in law John Cardoza, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great great nephew.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday, November 20, 4-7pm.
