SWANSEA - Arthur A. Souza, 77, of 112 Picard Ct., Swansea, MA, died Wednesday, December 14th at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River. He was the husband of Alice (Pacheco) Souza of Swansea, Father of Michael Souza of Fall River, Robert Souza of Swansea, and Sandra Costa of Westport, Brother of Joseph Souza of Fall River, Antone Souza of Pennsylvania and Irene Banville of Fall River, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Manuel & John Souza, Dot Carvalho and Mary Patton.
Born in Fall River the son of the late Henrique Souza and the late Mary (Carvalho) Souza. He was a resident of Swansea for 20 years and was a member of Our Lady Of Fatima Chapel of St. Michael Parish in Swansea. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and had been a Supervisor at Carol Cable Co. of Taunton prior to his retirement.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St. Fall River, MA on Monday, December 19th at 8:45 A.M. Followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Fatima Chapel of St. Michael Parish, Gardners Neck Rd, Swansea at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Rd, Fall River. Calling Hours will be Sunday, December 18th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
