Michael J. "Mike" Byrnes, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Monday, November 12, 2018. He was 53 years of age.
Mike was born in Medford on May 5, 1965, a son of the late Richard Byrnes and Edwina (Conroy) Byrnes. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School .Mike had been working as a Union Laborer and was a proud member of Teamsters Union Local # 25. He enjoyed the ocean and taking long walks along Lynn beach but most of all, his pride and joy in his life was his children and his grandchildren.
Mike is the devoted father of Brittni Byrnes, Michael Byrnes, Tatum Byrnes and Aaron Byrnes. He is the loving Papa to Caleb Moreno and Audrina Moreno. He is the beloved husband of the late Tina V. Staples. He is the brother of Richard Byrnes, Steven Byrnes and the late Karen A. Byrnes. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mike's visiting hours on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 2 to 6 P.M. with his Funeral Service at 5:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial is private.
