Obituary

NATICK: Rocco Gentile, 90, of Plain Street died Monday, November 12 after a period of declining health in MaryAnn Morse Healthcare Center. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Giuseppa (Forgioni) Gentile.

Rocco was born on January 1, 1928 in Avellino, Italy to the (late) Giuseppe Gentile & Caterina Salierno. Rocco immigrated to the United States in 1970 with his family. He worked as a jack of all trades, until he came to work for the Town of Wellesley in the DPW department, where he retired from.

Rocco enjoyed gardening, and took great pride in his yard. He enjoyed bocce ball, time spent at the Italian American Club, and his family.

In addition to his wife, Rocco is survived by five children: Mina Loffa and her husband Anotonio of Natick, Cathy Loffa and her husband Dionigi of Natick, Lucia Gentile and her husband Giusseppe of Toronto, Canada, Joseph Gentile and his wife Tracy of Holliston, and Angela Smith and her husband Jim of Natick; his brothers: Raffael Gentile of Toronto, Canada and Pasquale Gentile of Wellesley; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Friday, November 16 at 9:15 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, followed by a Funeral Mass in St Patrick's Church at 10:00 A.M. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15th from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Chapel of John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick, MA 01760.

Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
