Ralph J. Freda passed away peacefully at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington. He was 77. Born and raised in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Lena (Ferraro) Freda. Ralph was a long-time employee of the City of Cambridge Department of Public Works. A 30 year resident of Medford, he lived in Stoneham for the past 18 years. Ralph was devoted to his family. He worked hard to give them a good life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was particularly proud of his dogs. Besides his family, Ralph was a great and loyal friend to many enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
The beloved husband of the late Eleanor J. (Taylor) Freda, he was a devoted father to Kimberly Freda, of Stoneham, Ralphie Freda of Saugus and Nicole Freda of Stoneham. He was a loving grandfather to Eric, Matthew, Kayla, Kelsey, Ashley and loving great-grandfather of Elias.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday November 14th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, 4 – 8 PM.
