He will be most remembered for being a warm, caring and gentle man - always a kind word and a smile for all that crossed his path. He will also be remembered as an avid tennis player. Discovering tennis in his 40s, he played tennis three times per week until four years ago, most of the time at the Walnut Hill School courts with many longtime friends. He never missed a major tournament on TV, his last being the US Open.

Harry Kachadorian was born in Worcester, MA on May 17, 1928 to Henry and Helen Kachadorian. Harry was the younger of two sons.

As a young man, he was known for being a hard worker and a great student. He worked in the family store while still managing to graduate at the top of his class at South High School in Worcester, MA. Continuing his studies, he graduated from Clark University with a degree in Mathematics. Shortly thereafter he joined the armed services as a second lieutenant in the Air Force working as a cryptographer in Washington D.C. until the Korean War ended in 1953.

He then returned to Massachusetts to work at AVCO Everett Research Labs. He left AVCO after 25 years to join Factory Mutual Insurance as Vice President in charge of information technology where he stayed until his retirement in 1993. In his retirement, his joy was his three grandchildren Nicholas, Bobby and Raluca Leonhardt.
