Obituary

Mrs. Maureen (Moore) Mangiaglia, 89 and a beloved, respected and admired long time Andover School Teacher, passed away peacefully at the Halcyon House in Methuen on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Mario Mangiaglia.

Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on January 11, 1929, she was the beloved daughter of the late William and Ann (McParland) Moore. Her family moved from Lawrence to Methuen after her second birthday. She was a graduate of State Teachers College in Lowell and Emmanuel College in Boston, where she earned two bachelor degree's and of Salem State College, where she earned her masters degree in education. Following retirement, Maureen taught english to Cambodian adults at St. Patrick Church in Lawrence. Maureen loved reading and the english language. In later life her interest in reading turned from the classics to mystery such as Mary Higgins Clark. She also loved animals, especially her own dogs. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her loving sister; Patricia A. and her husband Walter Corcoran of North Andover and six nephews; Michael Corcoran of Andover, James Orlando of Lawrence, Ricky Orlando of Haverhill, Joel Orlando of South Carolina and Tim and Jonathan Orlando, both of Florida. She was also the sister of the late William A. Moore.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Monday, November 12, 2018, at 11 AM. Visitation will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, on Monday, prior to the service, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
