Obituary

Edward G. "Eddie" Powers, a 7 year resident of Revere and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Friday, November 2, 2018 at his home in Revere. He was 63 years of age.

Eddie was born in Boston on February 23, 1955, a son of the late John Powers and Mary (Burke) Powers. He grew up in Charlestown where he attended St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School. Eddie later enlisted into the United States Army and served his country with pride in the 101st Airborne Division until he was honorably discharged. Eddie was a self-employed handyman throughout his life, taking on many different jobs.

Eddie is the devoted brother of Jean McCluskey, Winifred Walsh, Carol Edwards, John Powers, Atty. Michael Powers, Mary McLaughlin, Bernadette Wall, and the late Helen Huesten and James Powers. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Eddie’s visiting hours on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 9 to 10:30 AM from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. CHARLESTOWN. followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. at 11 AM. His burial is private.
