Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, N. Easton at 10 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Obituary
Mrs. Swindell died Monday evening at the Life Care Center, West Bridgewater.
She was born in Boston a daughter of the late Francis and Anne (Flannery) McLaughlin and was educated in Sharon and Dorchester. For many years Mrs. Swindell had been a resident of Brockton before moving to North Easton 18 years ago.
Mrs. Swindell had primarily been a homemaker caring for her large family. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry, walking and vegetable gardening.
She had been a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church while living in Brockton and Immaculate Conception Church in N. Easton.
She is survived by her children Donald Phillips; Richard Phillips and his wife Colleen; Claire Powers; Kenneth Phillips; Edward Phillips and his wife Deborah and Susan Fine. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Margaret Divine, Grace Kelly and the late Francis, William and Anne McLaughlin, Agnes Fallon and Catherine Sullivan.
