Gail Elaine Pare, 78, of Beverly and formerly of Peabody, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Beverly, following a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Romeo A. and Violet (Maki) Pare.
Born in Salem, she was raised by the late Wilfrid J. and Alphonsine Pelletier of Salem. Following her graduation from Essex Agricultural School of Nursing she worked for the Salem Hospital for the next fifteen years. Gail later worked for the former Newhall Nursing Home until its closing. She then did private duty and home health care until her retirement in 1995. Gail enjoyed painting, handcrafts and traveling.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lois B. Nicholson of Salem, her nieces and nephews, her devoted adopted cousins, Diane M. Charette of Salem, Paul Charette of Danvers, Janet Bouchard of Acton, ME and several other cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem on, Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM to be followed by her Committal Service in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
