Preceded in death by son Robert Thomas; parents, Bob and Bernice; newborn sister. Survived by loving wife, Donna, of 62 years. Beautiful children ~ Deb, Jim (Annette), Kathy (John), Pat (Mark), Joanie (Ray), Debbie (Dave), and John. Thirteen grandchildren ~ Jason (Lisa), Rob (Megan), Mike, Meghan (Dave), Haley, John, Katie, Amy, Emily, Kellie, Mitch, Demi and Dani. Eleven great grandchildren ~ Tyler, Alia, Easton, Brynlee, Olivia, Elliana, Mason, Hannah, Grace, Emerson, Logan ~ all so beautiful! Also survived by in-laws, many good friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and special pal, Herb. Bob was born in River Falls, Wisconsin and moved to Mankato, Minnesota with his family where he grew up. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. Following his service, he married Donna in 1956 and they raised six beautiful children in Woodbury. He retired from US West in 1986, and spent 12 winters in Arizona with his bride, ultimately settling in Oakdale to spend more time with family during their retirement years. Bob loved his family above all. He loved his faith and his country. He had a special place in his heart for our special needs great grandchild, Mason. He made him smile every day. Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am on Friday, November 2nd at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 8260 4th Street North, Oakdale, MN 55128 with visitation one hour prior to service.
