Obituary

Worcester - On Thursday, October 18, 2018, a day following his 76th birthday, Richard James Kupstas peacefully fell asleep to await God's glorious promise of everlasting life free from pain. (Revelation 21:4)
"Sorrow has passed. Peace at last! Life without tears or pain."

Dick is survived by his devoted sister, Karenann Provost of DeLand, Florida, who lovingly provided for his care. He was the oldest the of five children of Anthony and Irma (Johnson) Kupstas. In addition to his parents, Dick was predeceased by a brother Robert Kupstas of Auburn.

Dick attended Auburn High School and graduated from St. Peter's High School, where he was recognized throughout the area as an outstanding athlete. He also attended the former Butera School of Art, Boston. His most peaceful times were spent at the Cape, where he enjoyed painting portraits of visitors as well as beautiful seascapes. Dick was also an accomplished amateur chef.

Dick will be immensely missed by his beloved sister and by his devoted care givers, especially Francis Ngethe, Mavis Sarpong and Elizabeth Mwangi of Worcester.

Karenann extends her heartfelt love and appreciation to the staff of Compassus Hospice for so compassionately providing love and comfort to both Dick and herself.
