Obituary

Grayce C. Giglio, age 66, of Woburn passed away December 10th, at the Woburn Nursing Center, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Edward A. Giglio. Born in Somerville she was the daughter of the late Anna (Burlamacchi) and Charles Edwards.

Grayce was a 1957 graduate of Matignon High School and was a graduate of Boston State Teachers College in 1961. She later continued her education, receiving a Masters Degree from Boston College in 1993. Grayce worked for many years as a elementary school teacher and vice principal. She taught at St. Polycarp School in Somerville from 1980 - 1990 and was the former Vice Principal of the Our Lady of the Assumption School in Lynnfield from 1990 - 1999. She had a special interest in the intellectual development of children. She volunteered her time as a religious education teacher at St. Anthony´s Parish in Woburn for many years and more recently, volunteering her time at the Eastern MA, Literacy Council and provided tutoring to adults who were interested in learning the English language. Some of her hobbies included reading, traveling and gardening.

In addition to her husband, Grayce is survived by her loving children, Gregory Giglio and his wife Gail of No. Reading, Paul Giglio and his wife Susan of Cohasset, Diane West and her husband Chris of Woburn. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Jessica, Christopher, Allison, Lauren and Jenna. She is further survived by her brother, Charles Edwards of Atkinson, NH and sister, Ann Pace of Lexington.

It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Grayce´s memory to the Our Lady of the Assumption School Fund, C/O Sr. Martha, 40 Grove St., Lynnfield, MA 01940.

Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Thursday, at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 17 Grove St. Lynnfield, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 3 through 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
