Ellen M. (Spence) Galluzzo, of Somerville, died Thursday, October 11th. She was 93. Born and raised in Bally Castle, Ireland. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Ann (McLeughlin) Spence.
Ellen enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, while she watched the reruns of the I Love Lucy show. Gardening came natural to Ellen she took pride in how beautiful her garden was. When she was not gardening, you could always find her in the kitchen whipping up some of her famous treats.
Ellen was the beloved wife of the late Joseph D. Galluzzo. She was the devoted mother of James Galluzzo, Susan Farnham, and Joseph Galluzzo. Loving grandmother of Kim, Brian, Jon, Thanakaneat, Christopher,Jimmy, and great-grandmother of Kylie and Trent. Dear sister of Mary Thompson. Ellen is also survived by many loving family members.
Her funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, October 17th at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Benedict Church, 21 Hathorne St., Somerville, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
