Joseph A. Lacourse Sr., 72, of Sanborn Rd., Londonderry, NH died Sunday June 23, 2002 in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester. Mr. Lacourse was born in Woonsockett, R.I. on March 9, 1930 the son of the late Joseph F. and Eva (Alexandria) Lacourse. He had resided in Londonderry for the past 42 years, formerly living in Manchester. He was a US Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and also served with the US Naval Reserves. He retired in 1992 from Liberty International, Manchester where he worked as a truck mechanic for 25 years. He also worked as a driver for Sanel-SAS Auto Parts in Derry. He was a member of the V.F.W. post 8179 in Londonderry. He was a founding member of the NH Flying Tigers Radio Control Club in Derry. He was an avid radio control plane hobbyist and had operated J & S Hobby from his home in Londonderry for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Martha C. (Geddes) Lacourse, Londonderry, fours sons, Joseph A. Lacourse Jr., Davenport, Iowa, George H. Lacourse, Manchester, William W. Lacourse and Scott A. Lacourse both of Londonderry, one daughter, Louise L. Lacourse, Londonderry, 11 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister, Bertha Martin, Manchester.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 26th at 10:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Londonderry. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7 – 9pm in the funeral home.
