Obituary

LIMINGTON- Bryant Edward Black, age 69, passed away peacefully on Oct. 6, 2018 at his home, surrounded by family.
He was born in Portland on Feb. 23, 1949, a son of the late Richard and Blanche (Grubb) Black.
Bryant proudly served in the Vietnam War from 1966 – 1969 in the US Army.
He will always be remembered as a generous man with a great sense of humor who was willing to help anyone. He enjoyed raising his show steers. Bryant will also be remembered as a loving family man.
He is predeceased by his parents; siblings- Chester Black, Stephen Black, and Pauline Black; and a grandson- Christopher.
He is survived by his beloved wife- Lois (Harmon) Black; his children- Brian Black and his wife Amelia of OH, Chris Black and his wife Wendy of VA, and Tracy Miller and her husband Michael of Limington; sister- Barbara Cousins of Baldwin; grandchildren- Steven, Cullen, Alex, Daniel, Steven, Dominic, Raegan, and Reese; great grandchildren- Christopher and Colton; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday Oct. 11 from 1 – 2 PM, followed by a 2 PM funeral service at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St. in Cornish. Burial will follow with military honors at Steep Falls Cemetery. Online condolence messages can be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com
