Geraldine (Teves) Clarke 93, of Franklin, passed away peacefully, Friday October 5, 2018 at Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center, following a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul L. Clarke, Sr. who died in 1999.
Born December 1, 1924, in Somerville, a daughter of the late Bento and Lena (Sousa) Teves, she was a former resident of Cambridge, before moving to Franklin many years ago.
She was raised and educated in Cambridge and worked as an assembler for Raytheon. Geraldine also assisted at the former Aroma’s Cafe in Franklin.
Geraldine was devoted to her family and enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox, golf reading, and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Paul L. Clarke, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Gardner, Larry K. Clarke and his wife Terri of South Dennis and James J. “Jim” Clarke and his wife Anna of Franklin.
She was the mother of the late Maureen Peckus, grandmother of the late Kristin Boutin, and sister of the late Susan Teves, Joseph & Walter Teves and Eileen Thibeau.
Also surviving are her grandchildren Christopher, Chad, Jeffrey, Matthew, Andrew Clarke and Timothy Peckus, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Wednesday Oct. 10th at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. at 11AM.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 6-8PM.
