Obituary

Ann Louise Conroy, age 91, of Winchester, formerly of Melrose and Brookline, passed away on September 28, 2018. Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Harry D and Ann Louise (Cody) Conroy. She was raised in Everett by her beloved Aunt Florence and Uncle Milendo Costanza. A bookkeeper for several banks in the Boston area, Ms. Conroy was a member of the Women In Banking professional network for many years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing golf at Mt. Hood, watching golf and playing Scrabble. She was also a Girl Scout leader in Malden and Brookline and donated her time to the Avery Missionary Guild in Malden.

She was the loving mother of Ruth Ann Whitten and her husband Joseph Wallace of Weymouth, Susan Whitten-Clark and her husband Brian Clark of Winchester. Ann Louise was also the dear sister of Anthony Conroy and his wife Ann of Stoughton and the late William and Jack Conroy, the devoted grandmother of Katherine and Lauren Clark, and Elizabeth Wallace. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a Visitation at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Sunday, Oct. 7 from 2-6PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday, Oct 8, at 10AM followed by burial in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Girl Scouts of America payable to GSUSA, to GSUSA Fundraising, P.O. Box 5046, New York, NY 10087-5046 www.girlscouts.org.
