Terri Lynn Alexander, 65, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Pruitt Health Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, September 28, 2018, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, the family will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brushy Creek Cemetery, in Irwin County. The family will receive friends, Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Alexander was born March 14, 1953, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late William Arthur & Lillian Whitley Alexander. She lived in the community all of her life and was a 1972 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. She was an avid Purple Hurricane fan and while in high school, she was Homecoming Queen, Miss FHS, captain of the cheerleaders, a member of angel flight and the drill team. Ms. Alexander was a dental assistant, worked for B. C. Moore’s and also a telephone operator for G.T.E. She spent her days talking about her family, friends, and co-workers and loved doting on her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Brandon Roberts & Brittney of Fitzgerald; six grandchildren: Bay and Kai Roberts of Woodland, California, Emi and Fox Roberts of Fitzgerald and twins on the way; a sister, Connie Smith of Fitzgerald, who was often described as Terri’s shadow; and two brothers, Bobby Alexander and Jimmy Alexander, both of Fitzgerald. Two nieces and six nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Warren Alexander and William “Billy” Alexander and a sister, Peggy Player.
