Charles J. "Charlie" Peixe, 58, of Westport, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at home. He was the son of the late Manuel G. and Rose (Gluchacki) Peixe.
A lifelong resident of Westport, Charlie loved agricultural life. He enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers and was employed at Paradise Hill Farm for more than twenty years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his antique Mustang and restoring his late grandfather's John Deere tractor. He was a talented artist, a devoted brother and a loving uncle to his two nieces. As a young man, he had served in the Army National Guard.
Survivors include his brother, Manuel Peixe, Jr. and his companion Candy Sisson of Westport, his sister, Carol A. Peixe and her partner Mark Hebert of Westport and his nieces, McKenna Peixe Hebert and Meredith-Rose Peixe Hebert.
He was the brother of the late Steven Peixe.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, September 28, 2018 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 P.M.
