Matthew A. Slauter, 22, of Methuen died Wednesday, September 19th 2018 at his home after a long battle with depression and addiction. Born on June 19th 1996 in Lawrence, he was an area resident all his life. Matthew was an employee of Pappalardo Landscaping where he loved working with his hands. He loved to play Baseball and Basketball. He played darts in the Mill City Dart League for the Rocky Club and was a great fan of New England Sports teams. Most of all Matthew loved to be surrounded by his family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his maternal grandparents Robert and Ellen McIntyre formerly of Hampstead, NH. Matthew is survived by his girlfriend Casey McKallagat of North Andover, father; John Slauter and his wife Christine (Talbot) of Lawrence, his mother; Sarah (McIntyre) Lacefield and her husband Romie of Methuen, two brothers; Andrew Slauter and his girlfriend Allison Bridgewater of Lawrence, Timothy Slauter and his wife Holly of Malden, and two step-sisters; Holly Lacefield and Erin Lacefield. His paternal grandparents; John and Sharon Slauter of Lawrence, paternal great-grandmother; Theresa Desell of Nashua, NH, one nephew; Timothy Slauter and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 27th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd, Dracut.
