Worcester- Adam V. Condrate, 92, of Worcester, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, in Blaire House of Worcester.
He leaves his wife of eight years, Carol A. (Rowe) Condrate; two sons, Raymond A. Condrate of Charlton and Robert A. Condrate of Alfred, NY; two daughters, Dorothy A. Cummings of Glen St. Mary, FL, and Charlotte A. Losapio of Worcester; two step-children, Brenda M. Rose of Worcester and Christopher T. Gillies of Worcester; a sister, Rita B. King of Leicester; thirteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his three faithful pets, Beebop, Tootsie, and Larry Bird. His first wife, Angela M. (Talacko) Condrate, died in 1980. A step-son, Paul R. Gillies, died in 1991. He was born in Boston, son of Adam J. and Felicia (Bernard) Condrate, and lived here all his life. He graduated from Commerce High School.
Mr. Condrate worked at Chicago Dressed Beef Company for 56 years, retiring as a quality control supervisor in 1980.
He was a longtime member of St. Casimir Parish. He enjoyed playing Cribbage, Michigan Rummy, and Scrabble.
Adam was beloved by his family and always tried to do his best by them.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu flowers, contributions may be made to St. Casimir Church, Building Fund, 41 Providence St., Worcester, MA 01604. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., is assisting with arrangements.
