WEBSTER – Rodney L. “Sonny” Budrow, Sr., 77, of 17 Orchard Ave., died Wednesday, Dec. 7, at his home.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Beatrice C. (Ford) Budrow; a son, Rodney L. Budrow, Jr., and his wife LuAnn of Dudley; two daughters, Darlene A. Saad of Webster and Lucinda Carlisle in Missouri; a brother, Earl Budrow of Georgia; a sister, Sandra Pepka of Thompson; a grandson; many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Olson.
He was born in Webster, a son of Leo and Blanche (Perreault) Budrow, and lived in Webster and Dudley most of his life. He attended Bartlett High School.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Budrow worked first for Webster Spring Company in Webster, and then the Webster Spring Company in Oxford, now known as Leggett & Platt. He retired as a supervisor in 1994.
He was a member of Saint Louis Church. He served on the Webster Fire Department for 20 years, retiring as a captain in 1979. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards, especially pitch.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 11:30 AM in St. Louis Church, 14 Lake St. After cremation, a private graveside service will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Calling hours are from 5:00 to 9:00 PM Friday, Dec. 9, at the funeral home.
