Obituary

LOWELL—Mary J. Rush, 85 years old a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Wednesday evening, November 30th, at Saints Memorial Medical Center.

She was born in Lowell on May 21, 1920, a daughter of the late Mary Rush. She was a graduate of Lowell High School and attended Bradshaw Business School.

Miss Rush was employed for many years as a Principal Clerk by the Department of Personnel Administration for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church and held membership in the Women’s Guild of the parish, the oblate Mission Club; the Middlesex Women’s Club and the Retires State, County and Municipal Employees Association.

Surviving her are cousins: Genevieve Silva, and Constance Faso, both of Lowell; and William Quinn, of Boston; also many dear friends.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Tuesday, December 6th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered Wednesday, December 7th, at 11 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
