Yvonne Carolo 96, formerly of 84 Salisbury St. Woonsocket died Saturday in Woonsocket Health Center. She was the wife of the late John Carolo. Mrs. Carolo was born in Hebronville, MA a daughter of the late Augustin and Rose (LaRose) Guilbeault. Mrs Carolo was a spinner for the former Alsace Worsted Co. and several other area mills for many years, she was the owner and operator of the former John’s Variety on N. Main St. in Woonsocket for ten years before retiring.
Mrs. Carolo is survived by a daughter Greta Manseau of Woonsocket, a sister Beatrice Miller of Woonsocket, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 form the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Charles Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday 9:30 - 10:30 AM.
