Obituary

PEABODY- Frank P. Dombrowski, 90, husband of Yvonne J. (Paris) Dombrowski, of Peabody, died Saturday morning, December 3, 2005, in the Harborside Cedar Glen Nursing Home, Danvers, following a long illness.

Born and raised in Nashua, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Frank J. and Sophie (Verkauskas) Dombrowski and was a graduate of Nashua High School.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed for over 40 years as a draftsman at the General Electric Co. At the Riverworks plant in Lynn.

A resident of Peabody for over 55 years, Mr. Dombrowski was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church, Peabody, where he served as an usher of over 50 years. He was a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 99 at St. Ann’s Church where he received numerous awards in scouting including the Silver Beaver Award for his volunteer work in scouting and was a Vigil Member of the Order of The Arrow.

He was a veteran of WWII and served with the Coast Guard.

Besides his wife, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank P. Jr. and Eleanor Dombrowski of El Paso, Texas, Steven J. Sr. and Merlie Dombrowski of Beverly, six grandchildren, Major Michael and his wife Jennifer Dombrowski, USAF stationed at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, Peter Dombrowski and Douglas Dombrowski, both of El Paso, TX, Laura and her husband Joseph Schwendt of Natick, Cheryl Dombrowski of New York, NY, Steven J. Dombrowski, Jr. Of Beverly, five great grandchildren, one brother, Charles Dombrowski and one sister, Veronica Dombrowski, both of Nashua, NH, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Stanley and John Dombrowski.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 10 am at St. Ann’s Church, Lynn Street, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38015.
