RUTH REGAN
MYSTIC: Ruth Margaret (Allison) Regan passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 1.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Thomas Regan, who was at her side when she died; her two children, Thomas Regan Jr. of Marblehead, MA and Dennis Regan of Mystic, CT; and four grandchildren, Julie, Andy, and Scott Regan of Marblehead MA and Beth Regan of Mystic CT. She is also survived by her sisters Doris Diers of Selden, NY and Shirley Lamberti of Richmond Hill, NY.
Mrs. Regan was born and raised in Richmond Hill, NY and worked as secretary to the President of Vaughan’s Seed Co. and later at Kemp and Beatley in Wappingers Falls, NY.
In addition to being a devoted parent and grandparent, throughout her life Mrs. Regan was active in community service and charitable organizations ranging from Little League Woman’s Auxiliary, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, and Home Extension. As part of Home Extension her talent and passion for crafts enabled her to create numerous handiworks and teach her skills and knowledge to others.
Ruth’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Saturday from 11:30am to 12:30pm followed by a 1:00pm service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
