Obituary

LOWELL--Henry F. Scanlon, 72, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Monday afternoon at Lowell General Hospital.

Born in Lowell on October 10, 1933, he was a son of the late John and Mabel (McMahon) Scanlon and was educated in the Lowell schools.

Mr. Scanlon was a United States Army Veteran. For over 18 years he was employed as a stock clerk for Lowell General Hospital.

He is survived by two brothers: Joseph H. Scanlon of Littleton; and Raymond H. Scanlon, of North Chelmsford; a close friend: Eunice Gilman of North Chelmsford; also several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Scanlon was the brother of the late Margaret Bauman and John J. Scanlon.

His Funeral Service will be held on Friday afternoon, December 2nd, at 2 PM at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte.38). Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours are from 12 Noon until the service at 2 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to The Cancer Care Endowment Fund, Lowell General Hospital, Development Office, 295 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA. 01854-2193.
