LAWLOR- Of Chelsea, suddenly, November 29th, Daniel H. Devoted son of the late James J. and Leona M. (Sullivan) Lawlor, Sr. Beloved brother of the late James J. Lawlor, Jr. Lovingly survived by many cousins as well as 2 nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Michael the Archangel Chapel on the campus of the Chelsea Soldiers Home, 91 Crest Avenue, CHELSEA on Saturday morning, December 3rd at 10 o'clock. A period of visitation will be held in the Cardinal Cushing Room, located next to the main Sanctuary beginning at 9 AM. Interment Services will be private.
A lifelong resident and member of one of Chelsea's prominent families, Mr. Lawlor passed away suddenly in the emergency room of the Whidden Memorial Hospital shortly before 10 AM Tuesday morning at the age of 68.
A very active volunteer at the Chelsea Soldiers Home, it was there that he was stricken with a massive heart attack to which he succumbed a short time later at the Whidden Hospital in Everett.
A graduate of Buckingham, Brown and Nichols, he furthered his education with a degree from Boston University.
For decades, he along with his father, James Lawlor, Sr. operated the James J. Lawlor Real Estate and Insurance Co. which for most of its existance was located above Margolis Pharmacy in Bellingham Square. In later years the office was moved to the Executive Building also on Broadway.
