James T. Walker 97, of Needham died on Monday November 28th at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. Born in Scotland Mr. Walker was formerly of Watertown before moving to Needham in 1961. Mr. Walker was a retired manager for Automatic Heating Company in Boston for 18 years. After his retirement Mr. Walker went to work with the Traffic Control at General Electric in Watertown. He was a very active member of the Carter Methodist Church in Needham, Member of the Needham Retired Men’s Club and the Glee Club. Jim enjoyed fishing in Florida and loved his music. Jim is survived by his beloved wife Euphemia “Effie” (McNair) for 73 years. Loving father of James M. Walker of Walpole and the late John S. Walker. Brother of the late William S. Walker. Grandfather of James P. Walker of Scotland. Funeral services in the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church 800 Highland Ave Needham on Friday Dec. 2nd at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in Jim’s memory may be made to the Carter Memorial United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
