PELHAM, NH - R. Paul Beaudry, age 80, a veteran of WWII, died Monday evening, Nov. 28, at the Blairehouse of Tewksbury, following a two year period of declining health. He was the former husband of Paula (Youngquist) Beaudry, who died in 1974.
He was born in Worcester, on April 23, 1925, a son of the late R. Raymond and Selma D. (Parrott) Beaudry. He was raised in Worcester, and attended Clark University.
He served in the Army Air Force in the Asiatic/Pacific Theater as a Fighter Pilot.
He was the owner of Commtronics, a telecommunications company, based in Pelham, NH.
He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman, and was past president of the Mass Sportsman Assn., a co-founder and past president of G.O.A.L., the Gun Owners Action League; past president of the Woburn Sportsman Assn., member of the Fitchburg Sportsman Club, and life member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William Beaudry and his wife Dianna of Jacksonville, FL; two daughters, Janet Beaudry of Jacksonville, FL, and Lisa Palmer of Ashburnham, MA; three grandchildren, Sarah Allard, Julia Palmer and Thomas Palmer; a sister, Marilyn Theil and her family of Glendale, CA; a dear friend Irene Lawrence of Pelham, NH. He was also brother of the late Phillip Beaudry.
A Springtime Memorial Service is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Nat'l Rifle Assn., P.O. Box 420648, Palm Coast, FL, 32142-0648 (or call 1.877.NRA.2000), will be appreciated.
