Taunton – Elizabeth Theresa (Organ) Sullivan 93 of Taunton, MA was granted well-deserved eternal rest on August 22, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family following a brief period of failing health. Born December 17, 1924 in Leominster, MA, she was the second daughter of John L. and Julia M. ( Connors) Organ., both from Leominster, MA. Elizabeth resided in Ayer, MA until the age of seven at which time she moved to Greenfield, MA which was her home for over fifty years. She graduated from Greenfield High School where she met and fell in love with her husband, John, to whom she married on June 11, 1949 and lived happily for fifty-nine and one half years prior to his death in 2009. Following retirement from the New England Telephone Company where she worked for over thirty years, she and her husband relocated to Taunton, MA to be close to family. Family was her endless joy along with travel; frequently to Florida. She delighted in the simplest of pleasures and embraced all that life had to offer to her. It’s truthful to say that the richness of her life can be measured in the smiles she brought to many along the way and the example she set. Elizabeth is survived by her only beloved daughter, Kathy, her son-in-law Joseph of Taunton as well as her only grandson, Chris, his wife Beth and their two children Joey and Alyssa of North Attleboro as well as several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great, great niece. Her great grandchildren brought love and laughter into her life for which she was most grateful. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, John, her sisters Mary Colucci and Julia Welenc, and her brothers James Organ and Thomas Organ.
