Mrs. Claire (Dumont) Derosier, a lifelong resident of Andover and beloved wife of Alfred Derosier, passed away in Bradenton, Florida on Tuesday, July 29, 2018. She was 85 years old.
Born in Andover, Massachusetts, on May 4, 1933, she was the beloved daughter of George and Yvonne (Paquette) Dumont.
Claire was an X-ray technician for many years for several organizations. She loved to cook and do crafts and go out antiquing. Claire opened her own antique shop called Mermaid Antiques in Rockland, Maine. Claire was a wonderful wife, a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Claire is survived by her loving husband Alfred Derosier of Bradenton, FL, who is a retired Lieutenant Andover Firefighter and their children; Kurth and his wife Denise of Westerly, RI., Alfred III and his wife Carol of Klamath Falls, OR and Donna Marie Derosier of Kennebunk, ME. She is predeceased by her son Michael R. Derosier. Claire had four sisters and four brothers.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 10:00 AM. A procession will begin from the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home at 390 North Main Street in Andover, those interested may arrive at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Interment will be held in the St. Augustine Cemetery in Andover.
