Mary V. (Martell) MacSwain passed away on August 15, 2018. She was 100 years old.
Mary was born in the Roxbury section of Boston. She was a longtime resident of Dorchester and Everett before moving to Malden.
Mary was the wife of the late Grant P. “Red” MacSwain. She was the loving mother of Barbara MacSwain of Malden, Donna Bordonaro and her husband Joseph of Malden, and the late Gerald MacSwain. Mary was the sister of Anna Garneau of Norwell and the late Joseph and John Martell, Martha Zamagni, Adeline Day and Alice King. She was the cherished grandmother of Matt Candelora and his wife Christy, Lauren Toppi and her husband Ronnie, Vincent Bordonaro and his wife Lisa, Carli Bordonaro and her fiancé Eric Provitola, Joseph Bordonaro and his fiancé Annie Spagnuolo, and the late Gregg Candelora. Mary is also survived by 8 beloved great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Wednesday August 22nd from 4-7pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
