SULLIVAN, Barbara E. Of Wakefield, RI, formerly of Wellesley, August 12, 2018. Beloved wife for 44 years of the late Robert Sullivan. Devoted and adored mother of Timothy Sullivan and his wife Melissa of Guilford, CT, Jill Cadogan and her husband Brian of Westford, Sharon Kominiarek and her husband Stephen of North Attleboro, Lisa Cadwalader and her husband George of Jamestown, RI, and Diane Smith and her husband Greg of Ipswich. Beloved grandmother of Emily, Abigail, Samantha, Gregory, Mary, Eleanor, Robert, John, and Courtney. Sister of Carol Calapso of Rome, Italy and Bill Engster of Brewster.
Mrs. Sullivan was a graduate of Skidmore College, class of 1959, and received a Master of Science in Education from Alfred University in 1985. She worked as a Teacher, a Career Counselor and an Employment Advisor, in addition to many volunteer endeavors. She was an avid gardener, enthusiastic reader, world traveller, and a humorous and loyal friend. She was a proud member of Tau Beta Beta, an organization which provides scholarships to young women. Above all, she was devoted to her children and grandchildren, and treasured time that they could all spend together.
Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) WELLESLEY, Friday, Aug. 17 from 4-8pm. Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley Hills, Saturday, Aug. 18 at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
