Irene M. (Gingras) Barthelmes, 91, died Tuesday, November 22, 2005, in the Christopher House. Her husband of 62 years, John H. Barthelmes Jr., died in 1997.
She leaves two sons, Robert B. Barthelmes and his wife Donna of Holden and John H. Barthelmes III, and his wife Anne of The Village, FL; one grandson, Robert B. Barthelmes, Jr. of California, MD; two granddaughters, Gia M. Welsh of North Brookfield and Tracie B. Gagnon of Gofftown, NH and seven great-grandchildren.
Irene was born in Pelham, NH, daughter of Edmund and Evelyn Gingras and had lived in Holden for many years.
Irene worked in the Administrative Offices of State Mutual Life for many years.
She was a member of Greendale Peoples Church, The Proto III Club of the Church, and The Daughters of the Nile Ahlem Temple #84 and worked in the gift shop of Memorial Hospital for many years and was a past president of Andover Street School PTA.
Private Graveside Services will be held at the convenience of the family in Worcester County Memorial Park. There are no calling hours. Contributions in her memory may be made to Greendale Peoples Church Memorial Fund, 25 Francis Street, Worcester or the Alzheimer's Association, 128 Providence Street, Worcester. Nordgren Memorial Chapel is directing arrangements.
