Obituary

M. Annette (Daigle) Quimby, 64 of Plaistow, NH, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her family by her side. Born in Lynn and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Euclide and Ila Marie (Fraser) Daigle.
Annette was a graduate the Pickering School Class of ‘68, Salem High School Class of ’72 and earned her Associates Degree at Northern Essex Community College. She “joyfully” retired after a forty-one year career with the US Postal Service and the IRS to enjoy life with her family and dear friends. Annette was a Boston & New England sports fan who loved the arts, dance, music and travel.
Annette was also known as ‘Auntie Nutt’ by her nephews, nieces and their children. She adored them all. She was blessed to be very close with her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be missed by many.
Annette is survived by her son, Matthew J. Quimby and his wife Aine B. of Newburyport, her daughter, Amanda M. Quimby of Boston, her brothers, Charles A. Daigle and his wife Yong Cha (Kim) of Spring, TX, Bruce K. Daigle and his wife Jane of Salem, her sister, Joan E. Davenport and her husband Robert, Jr. of Beverly, her grandchildren, Ronan M., Declan M. and Torin M. Quimby, her step-daughter, Jennifer L. Quimby of Haverhill as well as aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Annette’s family will be receiving guests at 10:00 AM prior to her Memorial Service and Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM at the First Church in Salem Unitarian, 316 Essex St., Salem, MA on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, followed by a committal service of her ashes in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
