Vincent G. Prestera 79 of Wayland and formerly of Montepaone Italy died Friday August 3, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Grace (Riggio) Prestera sharing 44 years of marriage.
A resident of Wayland for 30 years, he born in Montepaone ,Calabria Italy , the son of the late Gregorio and Vincenzina (Pirro) Prestera.
Mr. Prestera was tailor starting at the age of 10 and worked as Master Tailor at E.O. Bartels in Boston for 26 years. He continued to work his own tailoring business until earlier this year. He enjoyed classical music, soccer, Boston sports, travel back to Italy and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Sabrina Prestera of Wayland, brother in law Vincent Riggio and nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Nina Ursino, Theresa Candelieri, and Francesca Badolato.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday August 8 at 10:00 A.M. in St Patrick Church Natick. Interment will follow in St Patrick Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home Natick.
