John Baptista Pereira (70) of Brockton died July 15th in the VA Medical Center, West Roxbury.
He was born in Nova Vila de Sintra, Brava, Cabo Verde son of the late John Pereira and Leopoldina (Oliveira) Pereira of Brockton. John served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from Concord Foods in Brockton as a inventory analyst. He loved to golf, watch soccer and spend time with his grandchildren, also was a member of Club National.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his fiancée Linda L. Guerrera of Brockton, his son Jeremy J. Pereira and wife Erika of Brockton, 2 daughters, Michelle L. Brissenden and husband Scott of Brockton and Vicki A. Bryson and husband John of Norton, a sister Laura Pavano of Brockton, 3 brothers, Silvio Pereira of Abington, James Pereira of Arizona and George Pereira of Bridgewater, 5 grandchildren, Ava, Scott, Jack, Johnny and Ethan, (also brother of the late Dulcedia Leitao). .
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Friday July 20th at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne with Military Honors. Visitation Thursday July 19th from 4-8 pm.
