Maria A. Cangemi, of Winchetser formerly of Medford died at the Lawrence General Hospital, Lawrence, on Wednesday. The wife of the late Rosario, she was 96 years old.
Born and raised in Messina, Italy she was the daughter of the late Angela and Angelo Monsu. Mrs. Cangemi devoted herself to raising her family and greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her five daughters, Clara DaPrato of Woburn, Iole Cangemi of Stoneham, Lydia Ristuccia and Ginevra Cangemi both of Braintree, and Norina Saviano of Winchetser, Also 10 Loving Grandchildren and 22 Loving Great Grandchildren.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, on Friday, June 21, at 10 a.m. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church 118 High St. Medford at 11.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.Visiting Hours at the funeral home thursday June 20, from 5 thru 9 p.m.
