Passed away July 5, 2018 at age 54
John was surrounded by his wife of 20 years, his children, family and friends when he passed away. John was generous, loving & devoted to providing for his family. He was a 1982 graduate of Woodbury High School, BSE Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1986 and MBA Carlson School of Management in 2001. He was a 30 year employee at Caterpillar, working in Brooklyn Park, MN, Peoria, IL, Germany, Bologna, Italy and other parts of the world. He was a member of Chillicothe Sportsmen’s Club, United States Practical Shooting Association and Impala SS Clubs of America. He attended and had been a council member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Peoria, IL. John was an enthusiast of all types of electronics and gadgets, enjoyed target shooting, loved science fiction movies and was an auto enthusiast. He also was a hospice volunteer, receiving two awards for service. And he was a supporter of Pro Life Crisis Centers both in St. Paul, MN and Peoria, IL. Preceded in death by his mother Fayette. Survived by his loving wife AnnMarie (Golaski); daughters Elizabeth, Clara and Katherine; father Jack; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday (July 11) 11:00 AM at TRANSFIGURATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 6133 – 15th St. N, Oakdale, MN. Interment Union Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 5-8 PM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul, MN, and one hour prior to Mass at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to be used towards the future education of John and Ann’s children. A Memorial Service will be held in Peoria, IL at a later date.
