Catherine “Lorraine” Bjorn, 79, died peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2005, at the University Commons Nursing Facility in Worcester. Her husband, Don Bjorn, died in 1994. Lorraine, as she was known to most, was a wonderful, loving, and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a 50 plus year resident of the Town of Boylston. She was born in Woburn, daughter of William and Susan (Roach) Farrell. She moved to the Worcester area with her husband and soul-mate in 1949. Lorraine was an active member of St. Mary of the Hills Church and was once a Cub Scout Den Mother. She is survived by 2 sons, B. Donald Bjorn Jr., and his wife, Linda, of Sutton and Douglas E. Bjorn and his wife, Pauline, of Charlton; 5 grandchildren, Andrew Bjorn of Seattle, WA, Erik Bjorn of Belchertown, and Michael, Stephen, and Haley Bjorn of Charlton. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, William and Russell Farrell of Woburn, and 2 sisters, Mildred Callahan of Winchester, MA and Charlotte Connolly of Woburn. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester, with an 11:00 a.m. Mass at St. Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross St., Boylston. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 25 at Nordgren Memorial Chapel. Flowers may be sent or donations can be made to the Boylston Fire Dept.
